On a whim, I decided to sign up for Pep Boys email. They had an easy sign up, with a preference choices and a really great welcome email. It is clear and concise, tells me what to expect and even engages me with a 10% off coupon. I really dig the way they ask me to white-list them via and PS and glad to see that they make use of their pre-header text in the email. The tone of the email is friendly and welcoming and really makes me want to receive their next email which I hope can live up to the wonderful welcome that I received.
My only complaint during this whole process was that they did give me the option at sign up to chose English or Spanish as my preferred language. When I went back and chose Spanish as my language under a different email address, the Welcome email was still in English. That being said, its only a minor infraction because this welcome email more than makes up for that issue.
Congrats Pep Boys….The Email Zoo likes your welcome.
